Women’s Body Shaper

If you are self-conscious about the lumps and bumps that show through your clothing you might consider trying a women’s body shaper. Women of all shapes and sizes wear shapewear. Even celebrities wear shapewear under their red carpet gowns. Once you know how to pick shapewear you can find a shapewear garment that works for you.

Stick to your Size
A lot of women will buy their shapewear smaller so it is extra firm. In fact, this only causes bulges and discomfort. It can actually make you look bigger when you squeeze into ill fitting shapewear. You should be able to comfortably move in your shapewear.

Constriction
Medium constriction will help smooth out lines. Stronger constriction will alter your shape. The more nylon that a garment has the more it will alter your shape. If shapewear is light and easily slips through your hands when you are holding it it is designed for smoothing out lines, Heavier shapewear that has compression zones will suck and tuck your body into shape.

High Waist
If you want to look slimmer through the torso choose a shapewear garment with a high waist. Ideally you want to choose a garment the stops just below your bra line.

Full Body Suit
If you need shaping in a few different areas it is best to go with a body suit. A body suit will shape your tummy, waist and butt. They even have shapewear that will help minimize a large bust. They do have full body suits that don’t incorporate a bra if you would prefer your own bra.
